Getting The Most Out Of Your Kitchen By Replacing Your Kitchen Mixer Faucet
It’s commonly known that the right choice of kitchen mixer taps can make the look of a kitchen. And, regardless of whether you’re just renewing the mixer taps themselves or carrying out a ground up kitchen makeover, selecting the correct mixer taps to accompany your décor is of paramount importance.
With the choice of finishes and styles on the market nowadays, you would think that locating the correct tap should be a breeze. However, you may end up overwhelmed by the amount of choice or, if your sink is getting on in years, issues with compatibility may well restrict your choice in some way.
Tip: If will be simply updating your present taps but not the sink, then, you’ll want to locate a kitchen mixer tap, which is compatible with the sink’s mounting-hole(s) and if your particular sink is quite a few years old and has twin tap-holes, then you will need to measure the distance between the hole-centres. Once this is done, you may discover that your choices are restricted somewhat. I’ve been here and had to say goodbye to all the up to the minute styles.
Once you have isolated what will and won’t be compatible with your sink, the next task is to choose a style. If your kitchen décor is right up to the minute, you’ll be better off with something with a more up to date look; possibly with a brushed finish. But, should your kitchen be more traditional, then, something more classic with a polished yellow metal finish may be more befitting.
There’s one more consideration to take into account: how much you can afford to spend. Please don’t make a similar mistake to the one that I made a few years ago and waste your money on a budget, imported mixer tap. The one I got looked splendid when I first took it out of the box but 2 years later when the thing started to break up, I wished I had spent some more and bought higher quality.
